Autumn 2020 Equinox Updates
Autumn Equinox Blessings, Everyone. ✨🍁✨ Summer felt like a lifetime, both heartbreaking and also liberatory, and I'm feeling relieved that we've made it here. I know I usually share a seasonal essay but I'm personally still processing what's going on and don't feel called to offer a longer transmission at this time. However I do have some exciting updates to share, one of which explains why I'm soaking in a bathtub, here, full of flowers in the great outdoors.
Please consider signing up for my newsletter. If you do, you'll be the first to know about what's cooking in this tub (besides my bod), and a number of other updates and insights that I will reserve for newsletter subscribers only.
While I don't want to set up an oppositional prophecy, in many ways I feel like we are preparing to go into battle this season. I think we need to be well-resourced to be in this time, something we can facilitate by being in balance: with ourselves, eachother, and our Earth. Two of the energetic signatures at this turning point into Autumn are DISCERNMENT and RELEASE. Take stock of where you are in this great unfolding. Trust that you know what you need to take with you, and what you need to leave behind. Make lots of space for what you don't know, and let that be.
May we continue to find opportunities to access ease, comfort, and connectivity. I welcome all the gifts and wonders of this season, my favorite time of the year. Tonight I will light a beeswax candle, wrap myself in my coziest wool scarf, watch the crescent moon dip below the horizon, and sit in the crisp stillness, being with all that is here. 🍁🌛✨

A few months ago, I collaborated with Sarah Trogdon of Goldie’s to create a gorgeous bath oil that evokes the feeling bathing in the Vermont forest on a warm, starry night (pictured above). It contains a few of my favorite nervine herbs, oils, and a wildcrafted self-heal flower essence. I believe baths to be highly medicinal experiences, and one unique tradition of flower essence application is bathing with them. Wherever we are headed this winter, I want some deeply restorative practices to support me, and taking a bath with this potion is one of them. Sparkly bottles of Starlight Forest Bath Oil are now available for purchase!
